Terms of Service

petethepigeon.com, Pete chat, Pete by email, and the Pete the Pigeon Outlook add-in, operated by Fugio Consulting, LLC
Last updated September 4, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using petethepigeon.com, Pete’s chat, Pete by email, the Claude and ChatGPT connectors, or the Pete the Pigeon Outlook add-in (together, “the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

The Service is an AI assistant that answers questions about the Ohio General Assembly — legislation, legislators, votes, committee proceedings, campaign finance and lobbying activity — and, through the Pete the Pigeon Outlook add-in, drafts a reply to a constituent email you have open in Outlook. The Service is operated by Fugio Consulting, LLC.

3. Pete is an AI, and you are the sender

Pete generates answers and drafts with artificial intelligence. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Everything Pete produces — answers, drafts, summaries, the Efficiency Index score — is provided for information only — it is not legal, political, or professional advice.

The Outlook add-in never sends mail from your mailbox. It opens a reply for you to read, edit and send, or saves drafts to your Drafts folder for review. Share Pete opens an email in your own Outlook that you choose to send. You are responsible for anything you send from a Pete draft, and for verifying it before you do. Always confirm anything load-bearing against the official source — the Ohio Legislature’s site at legislature.ohio.gov.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; (c) use automated systems to access the Service without prior written consent, other than the Claude and ChatGPT connectors using the personal key we issue you; (d) circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security features; (e) impersonate any person or entity in connection with the Service; or (f) use a Pete draft to misrepresent a legislator’s position as your own record of it, or to send mail on behalf of an office you are not authorized to write for.

5. Pete Pro and free use

Pete Pro is a paid subscription billed by Chargebee (cards processed by Stripe) under the price shown at checkout. Cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Free use is subject to daily limits — currently three drafts or questions a day, plus any Query Credits you earn by sharing Pete — which we may change.

6. Rate limits and access

We may impose rate limits to keep access fair. Abuse — scraping, credential sharing, attempts to bypass limits — may result in suspension; we will say why, and lift it once the cause is fixed, except where immediate action is needed to protect the service.

7. Intellectual property

The design, code and branding of the Service are owned by Fugio Consulting, LLC. The underlying public data — legislation, votes, disclosures — remains in the public domain. We claim no ownership of your questions, your email, or the drafts Pete writes for you. You grant Fugio a limited license to use chat questions and answers to test and improve Pete; email content handled by the add-in is used only to serve your own office.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what the Pete the Pigeon add-in sends, to whom, and what is kept.

9. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fugio Consulting, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, except where the law governing a government entity provides otherwise.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date; material changes to data handling or fees are posted before they take effect and, for Pete Pro accounts, emailed. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles.
